Check out Ducktails (Real Estate’s Matt Mondanile) killin’ the vibe at Brooklyn’s Monster Island Basement sans Panda Bear, but backed by an equally star-studded supporting cast of Alex Craig (Big Troubles) and indie hero Jeremy Earl (Woods/Woodist) Anyone who hasn’t experienced Mondanile’s brand of dreamy bedroom pop experiments should check out his irrepressibly swell Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics here.

Master folk harmonizers Fleet Foxes have a new album coming out in May, but you can get a taste with title track Helplessness Blues (also free download). The band has also announced a round of North American and European tour dates, but I think its safe to say more dates will come in the following months including many stops on the festival circuit this summer.

.
Here’s the video for one of the bangin’ 90’s club/nostalgica tracks from Forest Family discovery Keep Shelly in Athens. Little is known about KSIA, but as long as they keep bringing the irresistible balearic eurobeats I wont ask questions.

The Kills- “Satellite”
.
With Alison Mosshart touring with The Dead Weather and Jamie Hince becoming somewhat of a tabloid target across the pond (see: girlfriend Kate Moss) we were beginning to wonder if The Kills were no more. That is until earlier this month when Mosshart announced the duo’s fourth LP Blood Pressures was recorded, mixed and set to be released April 11th. Here is the first single “Satellite,” head to their website to get the mp3 and pre-order the album now.

Parks & Recreation. Thursdays 9:30/8:30c, NBC
.
In case you’ve been wondering why The Office has been such a turdsandwich over the last 2 and a half seasons it’s because the writers (lead by Simpsons alum Greg Daniels) jumped ship to work on this gem of a show. Despite not being renewed this past fall, P&R’s third season premiere aired last week and picked up right where the much-beloved second season ended without missing a beat. Tune in tonight and witness the funniest show on TV.
(watch the also stellar Community 8/7c and the always out-there 30 Rock 10/9c all part of the same line-up Thursday nights on NBC.)

The latest track from from producer/dreamweaver Dayve Hawk. According to his We’re Tapes blog this track will appear on Memory Tapes second full-length and follow up to 2009’s outstanding Seek Magic. Be sure to stick around for the back half of this one so as not to miss out out on some groovy, disco-riffic 70’s pop maximalism. Can ya dig it?
